Sustainable tourism at Son Brull: children’s rights

As you already know, at Son Brull Boutique Hotel & Spa we are celebrating the distinction as a ‘golden’ establishment in terms of sustainability by Travelife. This important distinction got us thinking about the current actions we are doing in order to keep improving and made us think of even more future projects, we’ll be happy to reveal when the time is right.

We are more than happy to be one of the hotels around the world creating awareness about our nature’s needs, taking little steps towards the right direction and encouraging others to follow the same path.

We recently told you about or organic vegetable garden and how Son Brull’s kitchen was counting on it when creating menus. Being sustainable means very much to the whole team at Son Brull and there are some other things we are doing in order to keep rowing into the right direction.

Today we would like to tell you about one of our prioritary causes: children’s rights. We have been concerned about this matter for a long time and have been taking action in the past years through a wonderful partnership with the RANA Foundation, a non-profit association founded in 2005 that fights the sexual abuse of children.

Through educational activities in schools and a general rising of awareness among the public, the RANA Foundation pursues the ambitious aim of making the Balearics a safe place for children; a place where their rights are upheld and they are protected from situations that could lead to mistreatment or sexual abuse.

In our opinion, there’s nothing more important than keeping our kids safe. If we are creating awareness about our world’s needs it is crucial to take care of future generations. That’s why we, at Son Brull Boutique Hotel & Spa, readily joined RANA’s cause and make donations at the Foundation’s annual gala dinner.

Every year we gladly attend the gala, which is an important moment for the organization to talk about what it does and raise funds for future prevention programs.
